He also obtained the first interlocutory appeal to Colorado’s Court of Appeals in the state’s history, in Shaw Construction v. United Builder Services, 296 P.3d 145 (Colo. App. 2011).

Medical Malpractice Defense and Professional Licensure Defense

In addition to his appellate practice, Todd has tried more than 20 cases to both juries and courts. Todd has successfully defended health care professionals and organizations in trial courts throughout Colorado from claims of medical negligence, uninformed consent, negligent credentialing, and violation of Colorado’s Consumer Protection Act. He has also represented physicians, nurses, chiropractors and physical therapists in licensing actions before their respective medical boards.
